We are recruiting for an ARC Discovery Project developing next-generation technologies for lunar positioning, navigation and timing (Lunar PNT) at UNSW Sydney.
Opportunities
- 3-year Postdoctoral Fellow in Lunar Positioning and Timing
- Fully funded 3-year PhD scholarship, including a stipend at the current UNSW PhD scholarship rate (A$39,206 per annum tax-free, 2026 rate) and tuition-fee support for eligible candidates.
The project is supervised by Professor Andrew Dempster and Dr Yang Yang. It offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research in:
- Positioning, navigation and timing (PNT/GNSS)
- Estimation, filtering, and sensor fusion
- Spacecraft navigation and autonomous systems
- Cislunar dynamics (desirable, but not essential)
We welcome applicants from space engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, applied mathematics, and related disciplines with strong analytical and research skills.
