On Sunday 28th Spetember, Dr Yang Yang has been invited to judge the annual ACHIEVED Mission Design Competition Grand Final run by the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC). The ACHIEVED Competition is one of SGAC’s flagship educational initiatives, engaging university students and young professionals worldwide in addressing critical challenges in the space sector. This year, teams have dedicated six months to developing innovative solutions centered on the theme “Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth.” The Grand Final will showcase the top three teams:
- Aerolite – Hybrid Analog–FPGA Computing for resilient satellite operations
- CropCosmos – AI-driven forest pest infestation prediction using hyperspectral imagery and climate intelligence
- RedHorizon – REACT, a deployable emergency pressurization shelter for Mars EVAs
